Acquired at a local senior's estate sale last week, here's a vintage woven basket. I essentially know nothing about this genre, so please examine all photos carefully and make your decision as to its authenticity. But with my cursory knowledge and artist's eye, it does appear authentic. The fibers are extremely tightly woven with great skill and care, making it very strong and sturdy.

As to age, the interior bottom has a dense layer of micro-dust from decades of display. And the bottom is a darker/richer golden color, so am guessing there is fading on the sides as again would happen over decades. So, I'm thinking it to be at least 50 years old.

In very good condition, but does show 2 small areas on the rim where a strand of fiber has broken away; please see the last 2 close-up photos.

Please see my listing of a Native American weaving acquired at the same estate sale as seen in last photo; will gladly ship together for discounted shipping.
