Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a vintage 1960's era Electro Voice 676 Dynamic Cardioid microphone with the adjustable bass setting / drop off switch, original 300 model mic clip, cable in which to operate and a nice metal mic case in which to store the contents. This is the first 676 mic I have had to offer in over 4 months and she's a pretty decent specimen as well.

The 676 also came with a lower built in pistol grip which was rebadged as the 674 model. The 676 & 674 sound identical and are only different in that the 674 had the on / off switch built into the lower pistol grip.

Pic # 2 shows this very mic as well as several others in an old E.V catalog. This was an ideal mic for singing and broadcasting and gave the user extra length to work with once mounted.

This 676 was the same model mic that Jim Morrison from the Doors used. One of his favorite go to mics.

The 676 was only sold for about 15 years before being discontinued but it's still one of the most desirable model mics from the 1960's and 70's have a very smooth tone. This mic is actually set at high Z so it has a little less bass but still sounds amazing. A low Z 676 will give you more bass but this example will certainly get the job done. It's 100% signal strength and has zero issues.

This microphone has a polished chrome body and as you can see in the pics provided that it has typical lite cosmetic flaws. There is a bit of smaller scratches and a few scuff marks on the polished chrome finish but zero engravings or fractures. the mic is solid and I'd rate it a true 7 on a scale of 1 - 10. The front screen was missing on this mic so I replaced it with a front screen from a period E.V 636 model which seats perfectly and is actually better as it's far less prone to being dented or bent. As seen in the pics there is zero deformation, odors and zero tarnish. Even the E.V badge looks very good with a minimum of wear.

This older mic takes a unique 4 pin screw on cable that is included. It's appx 15 feet long and in great condition. Fairly soft, pliable and has a male 1/4 inch end connector. It fits nicely in the case provided.

The all metal vintage Smith-Victor case is included and in excellent shape. This metal case has a practical carrying handle and locking lid mechanism. It has the original blue white paint scheme that shows very lite physical wear and it's free of any dents or corrosion. Two new foam pads were installed to keeps the dust, dirt and scratches away. The case is appx 15 inches long X 7 inches deep X 2 inches tall.

 You'll appreciate this combo deal.
