I am a private seller and am just reducing my own collection – many things are not worn, so I have to let go of some of them! I will gradually be listing many items over the next few months. I also sell some items for my sister who has moved house and cleared out a lot of clothing & shoes etc. Some of my collection is genuine 1940s, 1950s and some 1960s clothing and accessories –the rest of it is repro such as : Stop Staring, Vivien of Holloway, Bettie Page Clothing, Collectif, Freddies of Pinewood, Rocket Originals etc etc  I will do my best with eras and descriptions but feel free to contact me if you need to know more about any listings.  Sizes are generally 12s, 14s, and 16s depending on when I bought them! Or vintage sizes that do not really compare to modern sizing. The style of items is generally Rockabilly, Swing, Retro, Pin Up, Burlesque suitable for Hemsby, Rockabilly Rave, Rhythm Riot, VLV etc Most of the shoes are UK size 6 (US 8 Eur 39).  Some items are contemporary, but I felt looked retro. This will be clearly labelled in any description.

Some items, if shown on the mannequin, will be pinned or adjusted to best show the shape and style – the mannequin is a size 12-14, so I have to do some pinning.  If shown with a petticoat or accessories, these will not be included in the sale but may be listed separately.  Any shadows or ‘spotting’ will probably be from my camera lens – true flaws will be described.

Many of the items can be 50-60 years old – where I can I have laundered items where I have been cautious I have not – again, this will be stated. Flaws and conditions of items will be clearly stated. Some items have been stored upstairs, so some do retain a musty old vintage smell – but everything is coming from a smoke-free house.  I have cats, but they are not allowed in the attic!  But if this worries you then do not bid as I cannot prevent a stray hair going amiss when I list/package items but I do my best to send out items in the very best of condition and laundered. Some of my collection has been purchased from the USA, and indeed, some items are ‘deadstock’ and retain original shop tags/labels!  Some items will have creasing from overpacked storage rails– this is why I am selling – too much duplication!

At times, I may have to use recycled packaging if I do not have an appropriate sized mail pouch. Especially for shoes where I no longer have the original box.
