This round casserole dish was part of the Iconic Starburst dinnerware by Franciscan. In 1954, Franciscan released Starburst in keeping with the futuristic trends of the 1950's. This "Space-Age" design was part of the "Modern Americana" dinnerware promotion created by Franciscan, and the pattern includes a variety of fun, irregularly shaped designs.
