Description
This lovely antique Haviland Limoges bowl is 9 1/2" long, 7 1/2" wide 2" tall. It has open handles and heavily gilded rims. It was hand painted at D'Arcy's Studio. The studio was located in Kalamazoo, MI, and opened in 1903 and continuing until 1939. The studio was known for its excellent workmanship. The bowl features colorful morning glories in blue, red and white with green leaves and brown stems. The background is pale yellow that shades to pale blue and pale peach. The outside of the bowl is pale yellow. The piece is marked Haviland and also has the D'Arcy' studio mark.
It is in very good condition with no cracks, no gold or paint wear, no surface scratches. It has one small nick on the top rim which has been painted over and is not at all obvious.
