Very unusual Rosewood Edwardian Two Seater Settee. Undoubtedly a high quality piece of furniture in it's day with many beautiful features and detailing on the rosewood frame as you will see in the photos.
As you would expect, over the years there has been some minor localised movement in parts of the frame with some small gaps appearing here and there but overall it is a very sound piece of furniture. There are no wobbly or loose joints nor any evidence of woodworm ever being present. The settee has been partially reupholstered using mostly modern materials. The newly webbed seat is fitted with 75mm layer of foam covered with polyester and finished with a Woolmix barrier cloth ready for fabric to be fitted. The two back sections of the settee are also webbed and ready for fabric. They comprise of 25mm foam pads covered with polyester and a Woolmix barrier cloth.
