The JB-2005 is designed with a 70's style JB look in mind, and incorporates Cruise-like sound nuances and specs.
The change in looks and sound due to the maple top specification gives it the feel of a component custom bass.
The difference is not only in appearance.
The crisp and clear sound that is unique to ash wood, and by using maple wood for the top, it adds just the right amount of compression and tightness, allowing you to enjoy an even clearer sound.
Controls include MASTER VOLUME BLANCER, TREBLE and BASS BOOST CUT. (Flat with center click) The CrewsTBC-1 preamplifier installed in this model faithfully performs the basics of an active instrument, allowing equalization and boost cutting without destroying the original sound. The wide range and clear yet natural sound is exactly the ideal sound.
You can play a ``natural yet powerful sound'' in a flat state, or you can use equalization to emphasize the high and low frequencies to create a ``fancy sound.'' Only TBC-1 can do both. VOLUME is also a switch pot, and by pulling up the pot you can completely bypass the active circuit. (There is no tone control in passive mode.)
The rich sound from the regular line's one-piece ash body is good, but the compression feeling unique to this maple top model is also addictive.
