Absolutely adorable small butter dish (holds a half-stick) white with green images, text, rim, and plate  decoration. The lid features a green painted knob and the words 'Une Sur Un Mur' with an image of chicken on each end. This translates to "A chicken on a wall" which is part of a French nursery rhyme. The butter plate has a green rim and green chicken and floral motif. The rim and knob appear to be handpainted.  I'm unsure how to date these; however, the color, font, design, etc., seem to place them in the later mid-century (1970-1999).

Condition: Excellent vintage, preowned condition. No chips, cracks, damage, or signs of repair. Very minor crazing around the bottom portion of the lid. Very minor shelf wear. Note: plate rim is handpainted. There are no flea bites on this items, but there are little gaps in the paint where the brush didn't make contact.
