Vintage Old Industrial Or Factory Office Desk With Drawers. I have owned this desk for 25 years. The person I bought it from had sent the desk for restoration including being revarnished. He said it dated from the 1940s or early 1950s, but there are no makers marks or dates on this furniture.

During restoration the original handles were refitted using modern cross-headed screws. The top of the desk is veneered plywood. Both of the drawer units are a pine frame covered with plywood. The drawers are made of pine sides and back with a veneered plywood front, with the exception of the middle drawer on the left-hand side, which is entirely made from plywood.

There has been a removable false bottom fitted to the top drawer at each side, to allow the storage of pens etc on top and other things underneath. These are not original to the desk. There are some marks, knocks and scratches on this desk, some from before it was restored and some since. There is no serious damage to the desk. There is no sign of woodworm or other infestations on this desk.

The top of the desk is not fastened to drawer units, enabling it to be moved easier. The top could be secured to the drawers with screws if required.

The desk top measures approximately 2 ft deep, 5ft 3" wide, and stands approximately 30" high. The 2 drawer units are approximately 17 1/2" wide and 21" deep.
