The Bianchi Specialties MagnaForce Scale is designed to measure and/or compare the downforce created by the traction magnets of a 1/32nd scale slot car.  The electronic digital scale reads the downforce in grams and ounces.  The required two AAA batteries are included and installed.

The Bianchi Specialties MagnaForce Scale uses genuine Magnatech SRP brand steel braid to simulate a magnetic track.  Magnatech SRP braid was the most commonly used magnetic braid for home-built and commercial slot tracks.

Plastic set track, from manufacturers such as Scalextric, Carrera, and Policar include steel power rails.  The power rails in different brands of track vary, but the Bianchi Specialties MagnaForce Scale can be still used to compare the downforce of cars used on those tracks.

To turn on the scale simply press the power button.  Once the scale displays a 'zero' you can place your car on top of it.  The platform of the scale has lines and markings to help you center the car over the braids.  The downforce will display immediately in grams (g).  You can use the 'M' button to select a different unit of measure, including ounces (oz) and grains (gn).  If you change the unit of measure the scale will always restart in that measure until you change it again.

The scale will turn off automatically after a period of disuse to save the batteries.
