The gradings I use in my used golf ball listings, in order of quality and condition are:

I am quite careful with my gradings, and err on the side of understating a ball's condition, although it is a subjective judgement and people's views may vary.

I do NOT sell lake balls, refinished balls, split balls or heavily faded ones or ones with over the top pen markings. I always show the actual balls in a lot, I do not use stock photos. None of the balls I sell are from driving ranges or practice fairways, they are all ex-main fairways balls.
