I have here for sale a book entitled THE FARMERS ASSISTANT by JOHN GRIEVE  Published in 1852 by JOHNSTONE & HUNTER, Edinburgh.  With illustrations within the text and a section with numerous tables. The first portion of the work is intended to impart full information and correct views respecting the theory and practice of land-drainage, ....and the second part is an 'Agriculturist's Calculator': eg drainage tiles, bone manure, weight of cattle, weight of hay et al. 

Bound in original red linen boards. Gilt title lettering on the front board. Spine has been re-backed and there are new endpapers. Boards a little age soiled around the edges. Board corners are bumped. Internally nice and clean . This book is in very good condition, tightly bound with no loose or missing pages. 111pp plus publishers catalogue. 20cm x 14cm.

Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped. 

To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my eBay account. You can then request a combined postage cost and I will combine the items into the fewest parcels as possible - saving you money :)
