Here is my sadly neglected British Seagull outboard - which performed sterling (if rather, er, typically quirky) service while 'living'.

Unfortunately, after a dunking in Chichester harbour, I have had neither the time nor the patience (nor the competence, frankly) to restore this monument to British workmanship to its former glory. 

Apart from a fair bit of external corrosion (as apparent from the photos) the engine mounting clamp is also seized (i.e. doesn't swivel), though the prop does turn and there's every reason to believe that the internals are all fine and will kick into life with a bit of 'fettling'...??

I will endeavour to get the exact model number tomorrow in better light...
