This block of 6 Canada stamps, issued between 1941-1950, commemorates the entry of Newfoundland into Confederation in 1949. The stamps feature a green design of the iconic ship, "SS Caribou," which was sunk by a German U-boat during World War II. These stamps are in VF (Very Fine) condition and have never been used, making them a great addition to any stamp collection. As a part of the George VI (1936-1952) era, these stamps are denominated at 4 cents and are in Canadian currency. They are mint never hinged (MNH) and have not been certified. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Canadian history and honor the brave men and women who fought for our freedom.
