It powers on and plays a tape for a few seconds, it will then click and play the other side of the tape. The tape will then continue to play but it sounds muffled. This will need some work.

I have tested this with the SL-DV170 and it successfully passes power from the amp to the cd player.  This unit is needed to get the cd player to work so could just be used for that purpose

The end of the cable has been snapped, but once it is in place it will stay in place and work as expected.
