An authentic theater made named Viet Nam USAF Spooky AC-47 pilots cap from the Fourth Air Commando Squadron mainly out of Tan Son Nhut but from other air bases in Viet Nam as well. It was made in country by Tailor Luang Phan 64 Mai Sa Trung in Saigon as shown on the photo of the label in the sweatband.
This cap is from the estate of a family member veteran who was not only an AC-47 gunship pilot with many combat missions,but also served as a Lt. Col. with Command Pilot status in Viet Nam during two tours flying Spooky on these dangerous night time combat missions.
The cap is in beautiful unaltered original condition and has never been cleaned or tampered with. There are no moth holes, rips tears stains or damage.
We want this to go to a top level collector who understands its significance and will take care of it. There is a name embroidered on the rear of the cap. The name is blocked out here out of respect for the family but of course will be present on the item when received by the buyer.
This is a rare and significant item and would make the centerpiece of a serious collection.
