Purchased from a Mississippi local estate years ago.  I stored it and never had it completed.  It does have a few small holes and one piece of black and white wool type fabric that has stress holes - at the very edge.

During the time when this was made, the family's worn/outgrown clothing and old textiles - any kind of scraps were saved and made into "make-do" type quilts.  The scraps on this one are charming.  There is a patch from a child's flannel pajamas, with a soft kitten on it, a number of the barkcloth pieces, likely from old curtains, and lots of retro type fabric from shirts, etc.

The last photo shows the back of the quilt.  There is one very light colored square that has some very light soiling.  I didn't try to remove it.

Lovely quirky, vintage item from a non-smoking environment.
