These 1935 Halfpennies are a lovely example of the first struck Irish currency post the formation of Eire, The Irish Free State. They are in circulated, Very Fine condition, with all detail visible.


The obverse face has a picture of the Irish Harp, with "SAORSTÁT

ÉIREANN" written either side of it, which translates as Irish Free State and "1928".


On the reverse face is a picture of a sow and piglets, above which is written "1/2d" and below "Leat Pingin", which is Gaelic for halfpenny.
