Kazuo Hanada is a sculptor who was active from Showa to Heisei.
Kazuo Hanada was born in 1902 in Buzen City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
He moved to Nogata City in the prefecture with his family when he was 12 years old.
The details of the footprints of this period are not known, but it is said that
he learned to make dolls at the long-established doll shop Harada Doll Shop.
Kazuo Hanada, who came to Tokyo in 1939, studied under Hirakushi Denchu 平櫛田中,
one of the leading sculptors of modern Japanese sculpture.
And in the same year, he immediately presented his work at the institute exhibition and won the prize.
He was a late-blooming sculptor who made his debut at the age of 35,
but after that he was recognized for his ability, became a member of the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition,
and received a prize at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition.
