years aniversary of Rolleimarin uw-camera housing
In
1954, the Rollei Franke & Heidecke company launched the first
underwater camera
housing for the twin-lens Rolleiflex 3.5A on to the market.
In co-operation with Dr. Hans Hass, minor modifications were made, and some further
improvements over a longer period.
So this year we are celebrating the 70th anniversary of this venerable housing.
It was a groundbreaking new release for analogue medium format photography;
every serious UW photographer would have been the proud owner of this cult object.
A total of around 3000 units of this type of housing have been sold worldwide with
minor adaptable features allowing four variants being able to work with the model
developments of the Rolleiflex f3.5 range of cameras over more than 20 years.

70 years aniversary of Rolleimarin uw-camera housing
Im Jahr 1954 brachte die Firma Rollei Franke & Heidecke das erste Unterwasser-
Kameragehäuse für die zweiäugige Rolleiflex 3,5 C auf den Markt.
In Zusammenhang mit Dr. Hans Hass, waren kleinere Anpassungen vorgenommen
worden, die über diese lange Zeit teilweise noch verbessert wurden.
Wir feiern also in diesem Jahr das 70ig-jährige Jubileum dieses ehrwürdigen Gehäuses.
Es war eine bahnbrechende Neuerscheinung für die analoge Mittelformat-Fotografie;
jeder seriöse UW-Fotograf war stolzer Besitzer dieses Kultobjektes.
Insgesamt wurden von diesem Gehäusetyp weltweit rund 3000 Stück verkauft.
Kleinere Anpassungen führten zu vier Varianten in der Modellentwicklung der Rolleiflex-
f3.5-Kameraserie, dies in einem Zeitraum von mehr als 20 Jahren.
