PAGANI HUAYRA TRICOLOR
The car recalls in every aspect the unmistakable design of the aerobatic flight group's aircraft. “Creating a safe and reliable machine in all conditions is one of the key objectives of the conception and development of each Pagani project and the design flair of an aircraft like the PAN MB-339A represented an enormous source of inspiration for the tuning of the Huayra Tricolore” – explains Horacio Pagani. Everything in the new hypercar from the San Cesario sul Panaro Atelier evokes the unmistakable lines of the air patrol jets and combines aeronautical science and formal elegance, evolving the concept of a high-performance car: from the new bodywork in advanced composite materials, designed and developed to reaching new goals in terms of lightness and performance, up to the development of a new and updated version of the powerful V12 engine, as well as the application of aeronautical-derived technologies, materials and production processes. The 313th Acrobatic Training Group, this is the official name of the aeronautica militare Department founded on 1 March 1961 at the Rivolto military base and known as the National Acrobatic Patrol or Frecce Tricolori, is heir to an all-Italian tradition of collective aerobatics which has its roots in the distant 1920s: even today, with their ten Aermacchi MB-339A PAN aircraft, of which nine in formation and one solo, the Frecce Tricolori remain one of the most popular and loved aerobatic teams at an international level.
