The 313th Acrobatic Training Group, this is the official name of the aeronautica militare Department founded on 1 March 1961 at the Rivolto military base and known as the National Acrobatic Patrol or Frecce Tricolori, is heir to an all-Italian tradition of collective aerobatics which has its roots in the distant 1920s: even today, with their ten Aermacchi MB-339A PAN aircraft, of which nine in formation and one solo, the Frecce Tricolori remain one of the most popular and loved aerobatic teams at an international level.
