Used limited edition model of USA-made Ovation Elite with "Angel Step Walnat" on the top!
Speaking of Ovation, this look! Based on the ever-popular Elite 1868 with its distinctive epaulet sound hole, this is a limited edition model from the early 90's that uses an exotic heathered walnut material called Angel Step Walnut for the top. This is a used item.
The Ovation 1868, which was very popular during this period, had an elite epaulet sound hole and a thin sparse shallow body, and was often used especially when switching from an electric guitar or for use in rock bands. There are many limited edition models that use exotic rare materials for the top that look great on stage, and this 5868-ASW is one of those models.
This body-fitting super shallow body is a model that has a lot of fans because of its balance and comfort, and it gives off a strong and crisp sound even when played live, and the preamp is the classic OP-24. This is the period of the most ``like'' sound.
Manufactured in 1992, it has been used for the model year, and there is some deformation of the body top that is typical of Ovation, but there is no problem with playing, there is a history of PLEK adjustment in the past, and the pegs have been replaced with Schaller. Therefore, it is a used item that is recommended for players as it has good playability considering its age.
