We have owned and had this up in the dining room until very recently.

This is not the original glass shade as it was broken in transit from France so a replacement was bought, also in France. However, this one does not quite fit it perfectly but rather sits on top. It works perfectly however and does the job.

Needs to be wired in.

We have used it with the current wiring for about 15 years or more but it could be updated with more modern wiring if preferred. 

This is an authentic French light from the Loire Valley. It has considerable age to it so the patina reflects this.
