At the time, MTV Unplugged was a savior for acoustic guitar manufacturers around the world. So MTV chose Martin as a partner to create a guitar for their fans. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Lifebeat (a non-profit music industry organization that fights AIDS). Just like the unplugged concept, this guitar embodies the desire for people to relax and play their own music freely.
The biggest feature is the hybrid half specification, which uses rosewood for the bass string side of the back plate and mahogany for the treble string side.
As for the tone, it has a light and clear sound.It has a basic mahogany base with a deep feeling unique to rosewood, making it a sound that cannot be produced with other guitars. You can feel the parts.
Spruce TOP, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard & bridge, pearl inlay with unplugged letters on the fingerboard, tortoiseshell pattern body binding, pearl rosette, black button on Goto tuner, 42.9mm nut width, gentle V shape.
The MTV logo on the head is also cool!
situation
There are scratches and dents throughout from use, but no major damage such as cracks. There is a step in the body binding, and there are some paint changes.
Comes with strap pin attachment. The frets have plenty of room and the neck is in good condition. The string height is approximately 2.6 mm for a 6-string 12F string and approximately 2.2 mm for a 1-string string. There is not much room in the saddle, but there is some room.
This is a connoisseur's item that is hard to find on the market.
If you want to take your time in choosing in a quiet environment! You can't concentrate because you're worried about other customers! You want to choose an individual in the same environment! You can try it out until you're satisfied.
