Very interesting Precision copy, branded “Artist”. I couldn’t find much information about the brand, but I had many of these, it is definitely a Japanese bass made in the 70’s.

Really nice quality, solid wood body and lovely maple neck. It even has some bird-eye effect in some sections of the fretboard (forgot to take a picture).

It has a Humbucker, which I suspect it is actually a single coil pickup. It has a vintage sound.

I honestly like the tuners, they hold tune nicely, and feel better than the ones made today.

The bass is missing the original pickup cover (the one that covers the strings as well) and the knobs were replaced for very nice vintage brass knobs. The rest is all original.

The neck is straight and the truss rod works. The action is mid, but it can be adjusted lower. Everything working as it should.

Thanks for looking.
