This is an antique 1904 pyrography engraved art portrait/plaque of a woman. It is very nicely done and signed by the artist, Geo A. Rogers. There is some writing on the back that is barely legible as it was written in pencil, but it appears to say "from" somebody and then "Christmas 1904". This piece measures 12" wide x 16" tall x 3/8 in thick. There are two small nail holes on the backside from when it was hanging. The wood has some scratches and marks consistent with age.
