Founded in 1985, PRS Guitars is a latecomer among guitar manufacturers, but they now produce guitars with excellent design and sound that are used by many artists.
I know that many people think that electric guitars are the main thing, but there are also wonderful acoustic guitars that take advantage of that know-how.
This model is one of the PRS SE series.
The top is made of solid spruce and the sides and back are made of obankol.
A feature of PRS acoustic guitars is that they have many parts developed specifically for acoustic guitars.
I have the impression that many acoustic guitar models made by brands that primarily sell electric guitars have designs similar to those of electric guitars, but PRS seems to put more emphasis on the acoustic aspect of their products.
The body shape of this model is a uniquely developed body shape called Angelus Cutaway.
It has a streamlined shape with a slightly thinner waist and an overall plump shape.
The smoothness makes it easy to hold, and the moderate thickness is one of the factors that creates the unique sound of PRS guitars.
Personal impressions from staff members are that the sustain is unique and feels like it sticks rather than stretches.
The thickness of the neck is a little thick, which is unusual for a brand that mainly uses electric instruments, and each note is thicker, and the way the sound resonates gives the impression that the overall balance is well-balanced, as if it had been compressed.
That said, the biggest appeal of this model is its design.
It has an overwhelming presence with the unique PRS bird inlay, amber binding called Tiger Acrylic, and PRS headstock.
