This vintage child's warming dish is very unique, in that the cap screws off to fill the reservoir with hot water to warm up the porcelain bowl. What an invention by Colonial Plate in the United States for the time period. The hunt scene with the little boy and his dog give it a primitive feel and would be a fabulous addition to a collection of primitive dishes. Would also be a cute serving dish for a cabin...perfect for dip!

The graphics are in wonderful condition for the age of the bowl. The porcelain has some crazing, but nothing that detracts from how sweet this bowl is. Some of the pictures have a reflection that looks like there is staining or something in the bowl, but there is none. The metal surrounding the bowl is stainless steel.

The bowl itself is 6" in diameter. From handle to handle it is 7.5". The height is 2".
