Joseph Franklin Rutherford (1869-1942) was an attorney and then a leader in the Jehovah's Witness movement.  At the end of World War I Rutherford and several others were given 20-year prison sentences due to their publicized Pacificist actions during during WW I - considered treason by the U. S. Government.  They were put into prison, quickly released and then were exonerated when the government quashed their indictments.

A tight firm book in lightly worn, Good condition in orange/gilt-lettered, embossed hard boards, 7 1/2" x 5" x 360 thick, supple pages of splendid Christian teachings from near a Century ago.     

Moderate wear at the extremities, no whitening, published without a dust jacket.  No looseness, No mustiness, No smoke smell.  We do try to describe them correctly - We want you back as a customer - hundreds of repeat customers.   Splendid for the Christian history reader, Watch Tower collector, author.  A marvelous  addition to the library of the specialist.  

Found in the 200-year library of a northern Ohio farm family library - they loved their books.  We brought eight pickup truckloads of books and other paper - all of it being listed on eBay now for you.  Still bringing more items out from that library now.
