For auction is an 1807 Capped Bust 50c half dollar which contains 89.2% silver. Weight and measurement is pictured. It shows average signs of use, age and wear. The reverse was taped to a piece of paper for years and the tape lines can still be seen. It has heavy tarnish around the lines and light tarnish under where it was. This beautiful coin was found in the basement of an old estate. This coin has been in storage for a lot of years. I haven’t cleaned it or altered it in any way, what’s pictured is the way it was found. It’s been authenticated by a local coin expert, I haven’t decided to send it for grading yet, I figured I’d try this first. Overall very nice gorgeous old piece of history!!!
