1995 Gibson USA Les Paul Special Double Cutaway TV Yellow, DC, P90, Good Wood Era, All Original
Available now is a perfect example of a 'Good Wood Era' Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut. Completely original, this guitar boasts a rich see-thru TV Yellow stain finish over a single slab mahogany body, beautifully complemented by a dark rosewood fretboard. Accompanied by its originally supplied brown Gibson branded hardcase with a pink interior, this Special is one of the very few and finest currently on the used market.
Striking and solidly built, these 90’s Les Pauls are celebrated as part of Gibson's "Good Wood Era," and upon inspection, it's evident why.. A straightforward comparison with a current Gibson USA Les Paul Special reveals a marked difference in fit and finish.
Recently imported from Japan, our Gibson exudes an exceptionally clean exterior, considering its vintage. There’s very little to mention in the way of cosmetic blemishes, however, there is a slight imperfection to the rear of the neck, that is smooth to touch and does not affect this guitars playability. Additionally, a few faint surface marks and tasteful checking are present, but overall, this example is in excellent condition.
Noteworthy, is a strap button has been added to the left horn, with the rear one still in tact. The frets have undergone professional and gentle dressing for sale, ensuring they retain plenty of life.
The remarkably dense dark rosewood fretboard has been meticulously cleaned and conditioned, providing this instrument with a smooth feel and swift playability.
The original electronics function flawlessly, while the P90 pickups exude the beloved bark and punch characteristic that we all adore in these guitars. This particular example weighs in at a modest 7.93lbs.
