A fine pair of ancient Roman coin earrings.

Set in 18k gold.

With omega shaped ear wires and a rope-twist bezel setting for the coins.

Each coin is a silver Marcus Aurelius denarius (ca. 100-200 CE).

With Aurelius' face to the obverse of each.

One bears the god Mars to the reverse and the other bears the goddess Victory -- a visually poetic pairing of masculine and feminine personifications of strength.

Simply a wonderful, wearable piece of ancient history!
