These stunning oval stud earrings have been crafted in 9ct gold and inlaid with carved cameo shells in the shape of ladies' faces. They are hallmarked along the stud post with the maker RBB, the crown and 375 for 9 carat gold and a 'u' for 1994, the year in which they were assayed. 

They are a good size and measure approx 13mm in length, 12mm in width and 7mm in depth. Condition is good vintage.

Note that only one of the butterfly backs is marked 375, I can't see a mark on the other one, which was likely replaced at some point. Studs and backs have been hygienically cleaned.
