LesPaulCustom was discontinued in the early 1960s, and this model is the 1968 LesPaulCustomFlameTop, which has a flame maple top with beautiful heather grains, in accordance with the specifications from around 1968, when reproduction began.
Unlike the 1957 model with a mahogany body, the 68 model has a maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard. The pickup is equipped with a 57 Classic, and the sound with a fat presence has exquisite sweetness and luster at the front, and the rear has a thick yet attackable and sticky powerful good sound. There are some small dents, dull parts, slight stand burn, and paint cracks due to age, but considering the model year, there is little signs of use and it remains in good condition.
The neck condition is good, there is plenty of room for the truss rod, and the playing surface is good with 8.90% of the frets remaining.
