The SurflinerDeluxe is a deluxe model that further evolves the Surfliner platform and includes new features such as the GuildFloatingVibratoTailpiece GFVT, 5-Way switch, roasted maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, block fingerboard inlays, and matching head. The Surfliner is made from lightweight poplar wood, with an exquisite offset body shape inspired by vintage Guild guitars from the 1960s and 1970s, with a gloss finish and matching head. It features Guild's first roasted maple neck, giving it a vintage look and improved rigidity and stability. The satin-finished C-shaped 648mm scale neck and rosewood fingerboard with block inlays provide a smooth playing experience.
The GuildFloatingVibratoTailpiece GFVT, newly developed for this model, provides a relaxed and comfortable vibrato effect. Equipped with a nylon insert and a tension screw in an easily accessible position, allowing for flexible control of bar tension. It is embossed with a G, which inherits Guild's DNA and creates a vintage look.
The rear-mounted HB-2 humbucker uses Alnico II magnets and was developed to reproduce the rich, warm tone of the humbuckers found in vintage Guild guitars in a standard size. Combined with the fine single-coil tones of the two DeArmond Aerosonics in the front and middle, it enables a wide range of sound makeup. It also features the classic 5-way switch for the first time, allowing you to switch from rhythm tones to solo tones intuitively and stress-free.
The modern and cool metallic color gives it a look that combines vintage charm with modern nuances.
