A rare original WW1 British War Office document entitled....

"PREVENTION of CHILLED FEET and FROSTBITE"

Full of practical solutions for foot care in the trenches (in theory, at least), including rubbing the feet and legs with whale oil and 'anti-frostbite grease'.

Printed in January 1916.

Consists of a single page.

From a rare archive of fascinating WW1 documents I have in my possession, relating to various aspects of trench warfare. They have survived well, with some areas of rust staining from paper clips and pins due to a century of lying in storage.

In excellent condition, with a couple of edge nicks.
