JVC KD-D55 STEREO CASSETTE DECK
MADE by VICTOR COMPANY IN JAPAN

USED.   IN WORKING CONDITION BUT NOT PERFECT and HAS FAULTS

I used the deck a few months ago and all seemed to be well but I've just tested it today (normal cassette and setting ) and the right channel does not produce much sound unless the output volume is turned up high and then the quality is not that good. Checked by playing one of my tuners through the same amplifier and speakers and the sound was good, so the cassette player right channel seems to have an issue. Playing a Chrome cassette and CrO2 setting and gives a slight improvement but only marginal. It could be that the heads need a good clean or perhaps even replacing.

General cassette drive functions eg Play, Rewind, FF etc all seem to work ok as did level controls, counters modes etc.
I have not tested the recording function, microphone or headphone connections.

The casing seems to be in good condition for its age but obviously it might have a few little marks - e.g. small chip just to the top left next to the input panel. I gave it a quick wipe over, then a few more wipes as I've taken the pictures but it would benefit from a detailed clean.
It comes with a power cable & 3 pin plug but sorry I don't a spare RCA cable. I have an electronic copy of the Instruction Book which I might be able to send to you and it is available on the internet and paper copies are on Ebay - sorry 40 pages is a lot to print out but check with me at the time of sale.
The pictures form part of the condition report so please look carefully. If you would like more general pictures or of something specific then please ask before bidding.
Any questions the please ask before buying. Please note this does need to be played through separate speakers, amplifier - or headphones.

Sorry no returns.

Happy for you to collect and look at it first and then if you don't like it then don't buy it.

Please note that my normal posting days are Mondays, Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesdays. Other days may be possible on request but it depends on my other commitments and I also try to avoid parcels sitting over the weekend in courier hubs/garages etc. Where possible I try to use the Royal Mail or UPS courier service but I reserve the right to select a service at the time of sale according the service provided, price, etc and the constant changes being made by the various service providers.

Thank you.

Thanks for looking and good luck
