Submerged Fluid Vase in Murano Blue & Purple Glass, 1960s.

This very well executed art glass vase is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Italy and dating to approximately 1967, and done in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The vase is done with a heavy aqua blue glass, with a deep red or burgundy inner, or ''submerged'' inclusion. The vase is squared both at the rim and the base, with a spiral turn to the rectangular body. The spiral turn of the vase gives an interesting presentation as if the base is straight, the top is staggered, and vice versa. The vase shows only minor surface wear to the base as presented in the photos, and consistent with age and use.
