Ordnance Survey One Inch Map of North Staffordshire. Edition: Popular Special Sheet.  Publication Date:1930, with periodical corrected reprints.

Cloth mounted and dissected map

Centred on Stoke on Trent, it covers Middlewich, Congleton and Monyash in the north, Eccleshall, Stone, Weston upon Trent, Uttoxeter and Draycott in the Clay to the south.  Market Drayton is inset in the left margin.

The map is clean and bright, with one or two light foxing spots only. The cloth backing and dissections are very strong and clean but the shiny covers look grubby. This type of cover, which dates from the late 1930s, should be wipeable but in fact they seem to absorb dirt easily and are not easily cleaned.  This is still an excellent example of a relatively scarce map which would enhance almost any collection.
