Fender Precision Bass Mid 1970s Bowling Bowl Refinish is now in stock.
"Bowling Bowl" is a color that was actually used by Fender for a short period of time from 1983 to 1984. We believe this individual was refinished around 2002 based on the body date. Replaced with other DiMarzio pickups and added series/parallel SW along with the replacement. All pots have also been replaced. The white part of the pickguard is also dyed yellow. The joint plate has also been replaced, and the plate with the serial number written on it is originally installed, but it has been replaced with a type plate with the "F" logo that does not have the serial number written on it. The neck and body are judged to be original based on the jig holes, counterbore, and inspection stamp on the date. Based on the specifications, we believe it was manufactured/shipped from 1974 to 1976. Thank you for your understanding.
The magic of vintage fenders is that even with many replacement parts and unique refinishing, the fender tone is still alive. The sound has a strong presence in the midrange and DiMarzio is a great match. It outputs a powerful and solid plebe sound. The combination of an alder body and maple neck/fingerboard provides a clear sense of clarity, and the edgy sound when played with a pick is also one of its charms.
Although it is a plebe with low originality, it is an individual with outstanding individuality. It also emits a very attractive plebe sound, so if you are looking for a flashy plebe, this is a recommended individual.
