IBANEZ Studio Series Bass ST924 Used 1980 Mahogany body Maple neck w/Hard case
This model is very similar to the famous "MC924", but this one has a bolt-on neck joint called Quadra-Lock, a 6-way tone selector, and a boost ON/OFF switch.
The body is a combination of maple core, mahogany wing, walnut top laminate body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The neck has steel bars called TR rods installed on both sides of the truss rod, and has a unique design that eliminates what is currently called a dead point. Since the condition of the neck is very good, it can be judged that it is effective against warping.
The original Super T4 pickup has a humbucker structure, and has a clear sound image and high-power sound.It brings out the flavor of the wood material tone and 6-way tone, and produces a powerful sound when boosted. I get the impression that it is being sent out clearly.
Since this instrument was made over 40 years ago, parts have deteriorated, and there are scratches and dents here and there, mainly on the outer periphery. There is a crack in the neck pocket on the 4th string side, but it does not affect the body condition or neck joint. There are no noticeable noises in the controls. Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and the truss rod has sufficient range of movement, so the neck condition is very good.
