Randall Headhunter 50W Guitar Amp

I was involved in the collaboration to manufacture the George Lynch Headhunter amplifiers in England back in 2015. This amplifier was designed by Mike Fortin/Randall to George's specification and then production engineered by Martin Kidd and me, (I was responsible for the artwork, unique cosmetic parts and technical details for manufacture). Mike and Martin are legendary in guitar amp design, so this amp has a premium pedigree!

These are no-expense spared point to point wired amps using the best available components, they took more than a day each to produce, (please see internal photos). The final photo is from Mike's test bench working on a prototype of this amp.

We always make 2 golden reference samples for production, one for the amp-build department and one for the test department. This ensures all production units are identical to the reference units.
There were 45 production units made in total, these 2 are not included in that figure as they have not been signed by George, (the 45 were signed).
The only other difference between these reference models and production, is the Lynch Box logo. Originally, these were specified to be laser-etched Perspex, (acrylic); this was changed for a laser-etched stainless-steel logo for the production units. We actually really like the Perspex as you can see the valves glowing inside through the 'window' and gives it a more menacing metal look, please see photos.

I have fitted a new set of valves, (JJ ECC83, 2 x Tungsol 12AX7s and a pair of Watford Valves EL34s, (best available at the moment) and fully tested & biased the amp. It produces 51.6Watts, please see photo 9 for a lovely full-power output sine wave.
I have a pair of these, the other is listed in another auction. They were both tested originally by Martin Kidd to ensure they were exactly to specifications.
Great deal to be had if you buy both!

These amps have never been used and are in new mint condition. Due to this, we are offering a full 12-month warranty on parts & labour and a 90-day warranty on the valves.

The amp can be tested and collected from our factory in Essex if that is preferred with a free optional factory tour to see how guitar amps are made.

Original retail on these amps was £2999 and I see a new one for sale on eBay at £2700. We are asking just £2250 or Best Offer with £10 UK 24Hr courier. Please message me for international shipping and I'll get the best quote. The amp can be switched externally for 230V/115V operation.

The amp sounds glorious and there are many excellent reviews out there; here are the point specs from Randall:

Matching 4x12 or 2x12 guitar speaker cabinets are available on request with the original snakeskin vinyl, please ask for details.

Thanks for looking and please ask any question,
Andy.
