Ordnance Survey of England One Inch Map of Buckingham, Leighton Buzzard and Luton, Sheet 96. Edition: Third Large Sheet.  Publication Date:1907. Revised in 1902. Railways revised to January 1914.

Cloth mounted map

Includes much of Buckinghamshire from Akeley, Fenny Stratford and Woburn south to Cuddington, Aylesbury  and Tring.

The map is in excellent condition with clear and unmarked mapping, very light wear on the folds and excellent cloth backing which is still white.  The most notable feature is that it has a rare surviving bookfold paper cover on a cloth backed map using the Ellis Martin design which appears to be an early version of the standard format post the First World War as it lacks the deep red border. It is not surprising that it is rare as they were clearly found to be not robust enough to survive in general use. This example is complete but with  knocked edges and a split in the bookfold, as seen in the photos.
