One USB port no longer works but works with extension port. Here there is a slight dent.

Replaced battery (not original apple) see photo.

Start up button does not turn on computer  - it takes a while. Usually take out battery - open and close. Hold down start up key/or as stated. Keep laptop running is the best option and do not send to sleep. Computer sleep set to never. Display sleep as preferred.

Body prefers to run elevated with nothing touching the battery. I use an open ipad box.


Currently running OS X El Captain Version 10.11.6

Great for photoshop and streaming.


Mac SSD 512 GB Solid State SATA replaced in 2021.
