The plates measure 9 1/2 " in diameter on the outside rim and 8 " in diameter on the interior. Perhaps a salad or luncheon plate. The cups measure 3" high and 3-3/4" in diameter rim to rim.   The cups actually have a very nice feel when you pick them up they feel very comfortable in your hand.
