Here is a nice 1916 " Jack London " 1st  Edition  HB for anyone's collection. It is titled " The Little Lady of the Big House."

The HB is in Good condition with some light edge wear & corner bumps. Nothing serious. Inside the spine areas and any/all loose pages were restored by a local dealer who used the following materials in his restoration :
. . . " BOOKGUARD ," Premium Cloth book repair tape for the spine areas
. . . " PH Neutral " PVA " archival adhesives for the pages
The  HB is totally complete with all pages, 393 plus 4 pages of book advertisements are tight, white with a snug spine.
It has displayed my bookshelf in its restored condition for too many years and it is now time for others to enjoy.

FYI . . . this book title is the last to be published during Jack London's lifetime. He said of the novel, " It is love from start to finish." The story concerns a love triangle. The protagonist, Dick Forrest, is a rancher with a poetic streak. His wife, Paula, is a vivacious, athletic woman who falls in love Evan Graham, an old friend of her husband. Unable to choose between the two men, she wounds herself mortally with a rifle in what her husband really felt was a suicide.

Just thought I would give you some insight about this fine novel. Could not ID the illustrator's last name.
