Large Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Censor Bowl Kangxi Period 1662 - 1722 RARE!

This antique Chinese porcelain censor bowl is a stunning piece of art from the Kangxi period 1662 - 1722. The handpainted blue and white design depicting Buddhist/ good luck symbols showcases the expert craftsmanship of Chinese artisans. The “compressed” circular shaped bowl with flared rim is in very good condition and measures 11 cm high and 20.5 cm in diameter across the top and 9.5 cm across the base.

Decorated with hand painted traditional Buddhist good luck symbols in blue and white and handmade with care, this is a true collector's item dating back to at least the 18th century, if you look particularly at the base you will see telltale “tares” to the porcelain body on both the interior and exterior of the the bowl something not seen on modern reproductions, so its a true antique original making it a very rare find. The bowl is in very good condition as shown albeit with minimal signs of age and ware as would be expected there is a patch to the interior where the glaze hasn’t taken which is often the case as these were used to burn incense. This very rare piece of porcelain is just ready and waiting to be proudly displayed in your home as a decorative piece, so why not add it to your collection of Asian/Oriental antiques or why not make someone’s day with a wonderful unique gift.
