Vintage memorabilia from the late, legendary Harrah’s Casino & Resort in Reno, Nevada, “The Biggest Little City in the World”, and nearby Harrah’s/Lake Tahoe, one of the premiere casino resorts on Tahoe. Includes a colorful “Playtime” brochure for Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in its mid-60’s heyday, when it hosted some of the biggest entertainment acts of its day (Jerry Lewis, Red Skelton, Dinah Shore, Barbra Streisand, Andy Williams) (from 1965); a quick (and very useful!) guide for “How to Play Craps” (from Harrah’s Club Reno, 1971), with a brief history of dice games (including Roman Dice and The King’s Dice), dice terminology and various bets, odds and the craps table explained; and postcards/flyers for both resorts, featuring upcoming acts in 1972 (Jerry Lewis, Bobby Vinton, Sammy Davis Jr, Trini Lopez, Tony Bennett, Danny Thomas, Don Rickles, Connie Stevens, Stiller & Meara (one I would’ve loved to have seen) and Wayne Newton) and in 1978 (Neil Sedaka, Bob Newhart, Tony Bennett (staying power!), Jack Jones, Glen Campbell, Don Rickles (him too!), Ben Vereen, Jim Nabors, Norm Crosby, John Denver, Willie Nelson, Eddy Arnold, Merle Haggard, Brenda Lee and Liza Minelli).
