Volume 2 of an expansive 27 collection of early hillbilly artists singing traditional ballads, gospel songs, and playing fiddle tunes from Kentucky, accompanied by guitars, banjos, and full string bands, drawn from 78 RPM records and field recordings made in the 1920s & 1930s. Transfers and mastering are excellent, as are each and every performance. Includes an 8 page illustrated booklet with extensive biographical information by Richard Nevins and Charles K. Wolfe.
