Lock & Co. men's British-style trilby hat that I purchased at Brooks Brothers around five years ago.
Wore it only a few times, so it is nearly-new condition.
I wear a size 7 and 1/2" (precisely, my hat size is 60.5 cm.) and it fits me perfectly. Label size states 7 and 1/2" / 61 cm.
The hat was made in Italy for the British hatter Lock & Co. (the oldest hat shop in the world), using Tessuto premium wool.
Please see photos #11 through14 for magnified views of the wool, which is brown and tan and with flecks of yellow, and so suggestive of a Donegal tweed. The bottom of the brim and the sides of the hat are stitched (e.g., photo #14).
Has the traditional look of a British trilby: rounded lines, short (2") upturned brim around the entire circumference of the hat, and a small overall size.
A British-style trilby makes a less bold statement than a fedora hat and therefore can be a good introduction for a man not accustomed to wearing a relatively more formal hat.
